ABOUT ORGANIZERS

The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is an apex inter‑university organization in India that coordinates among universities, represents their interests to government and international bodies, and evaluates foreign qualifications for equivalence with Indian degrees, with its headquarters at AIU House, 16 Comrade Indrajit Gupta Marg, New Delhi. Established on 23 March 1925 as the Inter‑University Board and renamed AIU in 1973 after its 1967 registration as a society, it promotes cooperation in education, research, culture, and sports, publishes resources like University News, and provides platforms for policy dialogue and collaboration across central, state, deemed, private, open universities, and Institutes of National Importance, with select associate members abroad.
